For VPD operation, the complete atmospheric distillation profile is a primary process characteristic. Current product data are supported by SGS-CSTC testing completed in 2026.

Early documented transformer production application
A historical production record states that the solvent began replacing an imported VPD solvent in a major international transformer manufacturing operation in late 1994.
Extended production-use record
After more than a year of use, the historical record documented comparable drying performance and normal VPD equipment operation.
VPD equipment-side validation
A national vacuum technology research institute documented repeated furnace operation and concluded that the solvent could meet VPD equipment production-process requirements.
Industry technical literature
Transformer Processing Technology, published by China Machine Press, included Botou-produced VPD solvent in a technical comparison of specialized oils used in transformer vapor phase drying.
